Earth ERT & ERS provides the method to analize the various three dimensional scalor potential such as static electric fields, magnetic fields, and temperature distribution using the boudary element method (BEM).
Step 1: Create mesh elements for the boundary, and determin the boundary condition of each element.
Step 2: Define the initial value of each scalor potential or its gradient.
Step 3: Calculate the invert matrices to obtain the spacial distribution of field potential.
Earth ERT & ERS can display the mesh and the calculating result graphically. The boundary element method (BEM) reduces the necessary size of matrices to calculate, compared with finite element method (FEM). This feature is suitable for numerical analyzation with personal computers.
