Tips for your desktop restore

POP UP WINDOW: Basically, your pop up window would be restored on bottom left of your desktop, where it 's not same position as before. The reason is that pop up window isn't 100% apple-scriptable and pop up window just sits on bottom-left if you set "POP UP" flag. If you want to put your pop up window on bottom-right, use "Dummy window" setting. Dummy window will be closed after every window is restored. Below example shows using "Bottom-Left" window as Dummy window.

1) Make Folder named "Bottom-Left". Just name it as it gives you the proper space, basically. Place it on bottom-right to be pop up window.

2) Store your desktop and see details of windows. You can double-click on items to set dummy window as shown below.

3) Dummy window ("Bottom-Left") will be closed after all windows are restored as below.

RESTORE MONITOR SETTINGS: You may need "Jon's Command scripting addition" to restore monitor height and width. Monitor depth would be restored without it. It's handy and useful scripting addition file. It's available at http://www.ranchero.com/osaxen/jons_commands.html , which is free for non-commercial use. DesktopJanitor doesn't support multi-monitor setting because no test environment for me. It would be possible to support it if some guy could volunteer me to make it.
