In ordinary, the search starts the head of the text, but when a range that includes some line-ends is selected, the search is done with the range.
Note that the search gets out of order when Find Next is issued after the text was modified or the cursor moved.

If Find in words is checked, the search shall be done in matching with the syntax of BASIC，but a decimal point is recognized as a punctuation, and remarks, DATA statements, IMAGE lines are not taken aside.

When no word is found, the dialog closes.
