Oiran Abyss
The most terrible place that I have ever visited is Oiran Abyss.
In the age of civil wars, there was a gold mine called "Kurokawa". Many men worked there, and many oirans (old Japanese prostitutes) for those men. Takeda families had that area. When Katsuyori Takeda decided to close that mine, he wanted to keep that area secret.
This is a truly scary story.
This story happened 15 years ago. My friend, Miss K, and her friend drove around that area in the summer. That must have been an easy trip. In Japan, in August, the traffic conditions are very bad, so they chose to drive in an area that is a secret passage.
They drove on the narrow road, on funny talking and that car ran many curves. They listened to one tape set on auto-reverse mode. Miss K's friend drove and Miss K took her seat as the navigator.
Suddenly, the music stopped. They wondered "what happened? Is there something wrong with the cassette player?"
My friend Miss K tried to check what was wrong with the cassette player. She looked at that player. In the next moment, that tape was ejected! She was very surprised. Miss K asked her friend "Did you touch the eject switch?" Her friend denied it "No, I didn't". That area was dark even though it was daytime.

Miss K wondered "I can hear something" and concentrated on that something. She could understand what it was and that scared her. "I...I cannot believe it!" She commanded her friend "Stop, Stop this car, now!" Her friend asked Miss K "What happened?" but Miss K shouted, "Stop now", again.
The car stopped. Miss K's friend got angry. Miss K said, "I heard something". Her friend doubted her. Miss K said, "but I heard something". She wondered "Did I worry too much?"
The next moment, they heard " I wonder when I saw dragonflies on my mother's shoulder..." ... that was old Japanese song. That was voice of a little girl. They wondered "Why? This area is too far from city. And there are no lights. It is midnight. There mustn't be a such a young girl." Miss K's friend asked Miss K "Did you sing?" Of course, She knew the answer, but she wanted Miss K to agree. "No, No I didn't". And Miss K asked her friend "You sang?" also. "No, no, I didn't!" her friend answered and Miss K commanded again, "Turn back, turn back, hurry, hurry, hurry!" Her friend followed her command. Miss K saw a monument, on which was recorded what had happened 400 years ago!
According the history, not only oirans were killed by the powerful men. A man kills another man to make him into an abstraction.
