Older versions, 0.9.8, 0.9.7, are also available. The newest beta version is 1.0.1 beta 8.

What's This

This is a Matroska Playback Pack for minimalists who hate bloated codec packs. It will install only 3 DirectShow filters (kudos to Gabest and his project guliverkli):

• Matroska Splitter 1.0.2.7 (Official version released on 2005-11-25)
• VSFilter 2.37 (Official version released on 2005-11-25)
• RealMediaSplitter 1.0.1.1 (Official version released on 2005-11-25)

As an option, the installer can also install the newest CoreVorbis (DirectShow filter for Ogg Vorbis), 1.1.0.79 (2005-08-13).

This pack will enable you to play MKV files with any DirectShow players, but Media Player Classic (MPC) is highly recommended. Use newer ffdshow that can decode not only XviD, DivX, AC3, AAC, etc. but AVC (x264).
