[00:10:23]Today, most sets are tethered to cable or satellite boxes. [00:13:62]But a number of companies are coming out with portable LCD screens that use home network technology to receive signals from those boxes. [00:21:27]Sony calls its system LocationFree TV. [00:24:56]Director of TV business development Kaz Hirai... [00:27:38]LocationFree TV is a new device for enjoying AV content anywhere in your house and outside the house by using wireless technology and Internet technology. [00:38:16]We have two screen size monitors. [00:40:92]One is twelve inch and the other is seven inch widescreen. [00:44:05]Using a touch screen... you control a base station that connects to any video source. [00:48:59]Cable or satellite boxes, Tivos or DVD players. [00:52:01]You can also browse the Web and check email from the LocationFree screens. [00:56:67]And because they have Ethernet and WiFi capability... you can take them on the road. [01:01:19]And the neat thing is... you can access your TV content... live or recorded... from wherever you have a high speed Internet connection. [01:08:65]Sony isn't predicting how many of these it will sell... but... [01:12:20]This is just the first step for creating a new market. [01:16:10]We are expanding to some opportunities for enjoying AV content. [01:20:46]The 12 inch LocationFree system will sell for about 15 hundred dollars while the 7 inch model is 400 dollars less.
