IrSync Switch

Last Update  9/16/2001
Windows95/95OSR2/98/98SE/Me/2000

This software is for Palm OS and Windows users.
The user who use both Hotsyncs by cable and infrared port between Palm and Windows, must change both configuration of the infrared port of Wndows and the HotSync Manager.
How annoying!

IrSyncSwitch is a software that change the configuration of the infrared port of Wndows and the HotSync Manager by just one touch operation!

Additional functions

  1.  IrSync Switch makes a pop-up menu item of "Network" even if HotSyncManager doesn't have it.
    (HotSync Manager 3.0.3 later)
  2. Perhaps you have noticed that you must change the "Beam Receive" preference on your Palm to OFF to avoid seeing the "Beam Waiting for Sender" dialog box.
IrSync Switch disables activity on your PC's infrared port, so that you won't have to keep "Beam Receive" off.
You'll be able to use "Infrared Hotsync" and receive "Beam" from another Palm without changing your preferences.
( This function is effective with not the WindowsMe/2000/Xp but the Windows95/98)
  3. IrSync Switch prevents a freezing by ESI-IrComm2000 (ExtendedSystems) which is third party IrComm driver for Windows2000.

Last Update 2/18/2001
Windows95/95OSR2/98/98SE/Me

Have you heard of an "Infrared Phone" or an "Infrared Modem" such as the Nokia NM-207 portable IrDA phone, NTT IrTA, 3J TECH Pegasus III or Link Evolution IrGEAR? These phones provide an internal modem via an infrared port.
This software provides an "Infrared Modem" for your desktop machine that is connected to a normal analog modem.
This software is designed as a task tray application for WindowsMe/98.
(Recommend for Palm OS / WindowsCE / Tipo / Zaurus client machine)

Shtu Up! Ir

Last Update 11/30/1999
Windows95/95OSR2/98/98SE

This software prevent "Beam Waiting for Sender" dialog for Palm users.
Do you perform the HotSync over your infrared port to your Windows 98 computer?
Perhaps you have noticed that you must change the "Beam Receive" preference on your Palm to OFF to avoid seeing the "Beam Waiting for Sender" dialog box.
This means you have to change your settings in order to receive beamed data from another Pilot.
How annoying!
The problem is that your Palm gets confused by activity on your PC's infrared port.
There is no way to stop or adjust the interval of this activity in the Microsoft Infrared Monitor 3.0 settings.
This software disables activity on your PC's infrared port, so that you won't have to keep "Beam Receive" off.
You'll be able to use "Infrared Hotsync" and receive data from another Palm user without changing your preferences.
