Mails from Momo fans

I introduce e-mails from Momo fans who read this page. Areas shown by green character are quoted parts from Minky Takarada's mail. Mails from Japanese people was written in Japanese of course. Minky Takarada translated these with his poor English. If you want to read originals, you can read these in Japanese page.

I saw your page! It's very funny in the homepage of Momo. I tried all the choices. But I don't think people will like Momo because they are Hentai? Ha..ha.. I really like your 4-cell mangas. Are the mangas drawn by you? They are very nice!! I guess you have drawn for many years? The animated "bird" is very kawaii! In fact, I also want to make some GIF animation, but I don't know where I could find the software.
Momo's TV series has been shown in Hong Kong in some years ago. I know many boys in Japan watch shoujo animes, isn't it? I really like to watch anime. Anime is my life, I got over 200 anime video tapes. But when I compare myself with anime fans in Japan, my "knowledge" in anime is not so "depth" though.
I found strange that most animes come from Japan, but there are not much(?) anime web-site in Japan. Most anime web-sites are in US and Canada. This may due to most Japanese web-site is written in Japanese only. Since I can find many animes in Hong Kong, I'd like to introduce animes to people in the world.

Hi! Takarada san,

> I saw your page. You are "deep" enough, especially concerning about OVA.
I know that OVAs are not allowed to be rent in Japan. People must buy them to watch, isn't it? If so, I think I am lucky that I can rent them with cheap price. But if I want to buy them, their prices in Hong Kong are always higher than in Japan (usually marked up 25%!!)

> If we have advantage as anime fun in Japan, it is the fact that we can watch many anime TV series every day.

That's really nice - everyday have different animes show on TV. Oh, you may not know that the anime CDs sold here are quite expensive, and there are no posters, telephone cards are also expensive....... But on the other hand, I find myself already lucky when compare with anime fans in US or Canada. They got nearly nothing.

> I think TV animes are pretty good because these animes are enough long to explain background, to show characters, to express story and to assert authors opinion.

Oh, the recent TV series are so poor (except Evangelion), such as Tenchi Muyo, Sailor Moon, Gundam W, etc. The picture quality is very low, especially Tenchi Muyo, not even the picture is poor, the stories are....

> In my case, I read some English anime pages, so I think it is my duty to make my page in English too.(yes, give and take). Then, I made Momo page in my poor English with great effort...

Your English Momo page is nice and funny! You should post it to search engines and anime list homepage, do you know Anime Turnpike? or Anime Resources List? Try them!

Konnichiwa! ^_^ I just wanted to thank you for your wonderful Minky Momo page. The many young shoujo animes and mangas are my favorites, and they are very hard to find in America. I created a fan club to tell other people about wonderful shows like Monky Momo, because many fans in America do not know about these beautiful shows. I just wanted to sat "thank you" for making such a nice page for Minky Momo - I wish that many more stories for young girls would be noticed, too. Again, arigatou! ^_^

Good evening(it is 1:48 in midnight.).
Minky Momo was just my oasis during I studied so hard for high school entrance examinatim. My most impressed memory about Minky Momo is enomous shock received by Momo's death. I couldn't understand situation about following new series after her death just the same with king of Fenalinarsa. But anyway I was happy only the fact I could meet Momo again. It was actually interesting .At the last story of the series, I tried to make one period in my mind but new Marine-Momo series stared just after that, then I confused more. Anyway, I felt happy to meet Momo again. But! the new seried was suddenly finifhed at halfway. From next week, I couldn't meet Momo 5:55 on Thursday the time I had met her... What a broadcast center!
After that my heart was attached to Momo, it has taken about half of my life. Yes, time flies like an arrow then human Momo has grown to original Momo's age.
Anyway, I don't know other tale which have huge impact like this. Minky Momo story is too funny but it has very deep philosophy. (Though I don't know well about Marine-Momo series.)
My life started by Momo and will end by Momo. I hate Creamy Mami that would be imitation of Momo I believe and I don't know current animes. There is TV shows of 'Great animes' sometimes, but everytime similar tales are picked up and Momo is not shown in these programs. I feel it very sad. I feel lonely by the current of time which make people forget Momo. At that time I met your page with find engine of inter-net. I was encouraged by your stance deep in Minky Momo world.
See you.

Dear Mr. Takarada
My name is Pineiro, a college student of electrical technology in Puerto Rico (United States territory in the caribean). I have been deeply moved by your Minki Momo page. It is a master piece. Thank you so much for all the work you did in it.
As background information, I watched Minki Momo dubed in spanish in the local tv on the years of 1985-1986 and thanks to it I became a hard core anime fan. Momo made me laugh, crie and dream. I still dream and because of it after more than ten years of having meet Momo I still cary her in my heart.
Is just too sad that I never got a chance to see the whole series since the local tv station did not respect the order of the episodes and many episodes never were aired, including the last ones. Its been my quest to find all the episodes of this wonderfull story but not many people know about this show.
So many things to say but so little space. Again I thank you for helping people know about Minki Momo and perharps some day I will be greatly honored to receive correspondence from such a wonderful person as yourself.

Hello, I'm Syun-toy. I was deep in Minky Momo when I was high school student. At that time, I lived in Kyushu region then we couldn't catch Momo's broadcast. So I watched Momo by video tape which sent by my friend lived near Tokyo. After I entered university, I came to Tokyo. My girl friend gave me Momo's ticket-case and I used it for long time.(I had used it to explain about Minky Momo in English lesson class.) Minky Momo is good quality tale I think also now.
I felt happy by your page with my sweet memory. I will come here agian from now.

Love your page!
Keep up the good work!

Although actually I know her as Gigi as her show was broadcasted here (the Netherlands) as 'The magical world of Gigi' by the now extinct Europe channel.

Hi Minky Takarada, I like Minky Momo so much, too. I thought there was no Momo page but anyway I searched by Yahoo Japan. Then I find it with my surprise! I always wish there was fantastic world like Fenalinarsa, of course I hope now, too. I can remember my sadness of Momo's death. But I don't watch whole stolies of Momo because I had been in abroad at that time. I feel it sad. But I'm happy that I could find Momo's fan like you.

I read your Momo page deeply. I'm not old fan (only know new Momo series) but I sympathized your page. When I read your original paper about Momo, I felt hot and deeply impressed.
Momo's videos became to Bible for me and I often watch these even now. New Momo series has no happy end neither then I received similar emotion with that you received by original Momo's end I supporse. After that, I can also say "I chose the way to have a dream in my life" and Momo lives in my mind. Some people cannot understand my assert but the fact I like Minky Momo is eternal.
let's show Fenalinarsa.

I was high school student when I met Minky Momo. At that time I only felt Momo , Pipiru and Mocha was very kawaii. I amused it by its dreamy story. It was after long time I notice the story had great philosophy that dream should come true by effort of one's self.
But it was one good way to watch Momo I used to, I think now.

Hi, I'm Griselda Rojas from Mexico city, I liked very much the beautiful work you have make with MinkyMomo, my friends and I grew up dreaming to be just like her (here it was called "Gigi's adventures") I cried when she died and I hope someday we can see her again because it desapeared from TV suddenly and we don't have it anymore. I love manga and anime, it has motivated me to learn more about japanese culture, I'm looking for a good school to learn your languaje so I can go there some day and enjoy all the beauty of your country and (of course) to read manga and watch anime in the original versions. Here we are having a "japanese invasion" 'cause they' re playing in TV Ranma 1/2, Sailor Moon, Zenki, Magic Knights Ray Earth, Dragon Ball Z and Candy Candy. We all love them. My favorite manga right now is Maison Ikkoku, it always makes me cry. Greetings for your wife and children, they are very nice. And with everything you know, I wont call you Minky Takarada, I would call you "Takarada Sensei" Thank you for giving us fans this page.
