Introduction : Summary of Procedure : You are in Charge

To Unmask a Mask, you Mask the Mask with exactly the same Mask used in the original Masked image.
This is not an attempt to confuse you, it is the basic principle in the unmasking process. If you apply the same mask on the same spot twice, the result will be an image similar to the original image.

So, this is the way it happens:

Original image X
=>=>=>

Put ?? mask on
=>=>=>

Masked image

Duplicate of original image X'
<=<=<=

Put same mask on again
<=<=<=

Masked image

"similar" above means that you will have an extremely difficult time differentiating the two images (original and twice-masked images). Even with a magnifying glass you will not be able to distinguish any visible difference between the original and the twice-masked image.
Technically speaking, if you apply a mask on the same image twice, you are editing the image twice. This happens only because FLMASK's rotating random block allocation algorithm matched your expectations. Making this match happen is your job.

FLMASK does not, and cannot, find the "right" image for you, but you can find the image you desire with the help of FLMASK. What should you do to improve your skill? Practice, Practice, and Practice some more!

Load Image

Load masked image on to FLMASK.
In the actual FLMASK window, mask buttons are not activated (in gray) until a frame is set.
Frame It

Now you FRAME the area you wish to mask. There are several ways to frame the masked area.
1. frame it on normal FLMASK window,
2. Or, roughly enclose the masked area with a frame and click "Select Inside" (Sel In) Button.
3. Or, double click on the masked area to activate FLMASK's self-framing function.
4. Or, for hard-to-see edges, roughly enclose the masked area with a frame and activate frame selection controller to set frame.
In any case, you should double check it visually for best results.
Mask It

Click mask button of your choice. Mask buttons are highlighted in light red. In the actual FLMASK screen they will be activated, not highlighted.
FL Mask is used in this example. (Of course, when you are on your own, YOU must determine the right mask to try.)

Click the FL button
Mask is Gone

Now the mask is gone. Save image by clicking SAVE button, and you are done!
