Welcome to ZauLINK for Win32.
If you are new to ZauLINK, please read this section first.

ZauLINK is a free link software for Sharp PI-Zaurus (Japanese Classic Zaurus),
and it includes following features:
- Mailware
- ZauLINK is free to download. You can use this like
a free software.
But you must send email to me if you would continuously use this software.
See readme.txt for details.
- True 32-bit Application
- ZauLINK provides higher performance than similar 16-bit link softwares.
This is developed with a latest optimizing C++ compiler (Microsoft Visual C/C++).
In result, this optimized object code utilize recent powerfull processors
under 32-bit Operating Systems (Win2K, WinNT4, Win95/98/Me).
- Multithreaded Communication
- Because of the communication thread separated from the user interface,
ZauLINK provides fast and stable communication in spite of the load on
your system.
- Win95 Common User Interface
- ZauLINK follows the design guidance of Windows95 Common User Interface.
You can operate this software intuitively.
- Multiple Users Compliant
- ZauLINK stores the users' setting separately.
It will restore the window size or its position
when the user return to ZauLINK.

Equipment to connect
ZauLINK can communicate by:
- IR optical communication.
ASK(Amplitude Shift Keying) standard is only supported.
IrDA standard is never supported.
- Option port 15; Cable interface

All configurations above are made without any warranty.
Supported Zaurus
ZauLINK only supports Japanese "Classic" PI-Zaurus.
MobileZ is also supported.
All U.S. Zaurus (ZR series, e.g., ZR-5000) are not supported.

- PI-4000 (Unavailable Add-in Transfer)
- PI-4500 (restrict the size of Add-in program)
- PI-5000

- PI-8000 (Available "Wide" 278x128 dot width notepad)
- MobileZ (Same as PI-8000)
I will never support that it works for any other configurations,
though I suspect it probably will work for following configurations.
- ZauLINK → Wiz
- ZauLINK → Power-Zaurus
- ZauLINK → Zaurus-Pocket
In these case, you can not edit the items which does not appear in PI-Zaurus.
- First, read readme_e.txt
and the license agreement carefully.
- If you would use this software continuously, you must email to me
to get the user registration key.
If only you have patience with the opening messages,
you can try this software without registration.
- There are absolutely no warranties of any kind.
This software is provided entirely "as is", and use is
entirely at the discretion and risk of the user.
- I will not support you in this software.
Do not ask me how to connect your PC
or how to configure your PC's BIOS settings.
- New features requested from the user will weigh my cost against its effect.

Put this in your SYSTEM32 directory.
- You can download Koshin-Futaku from Tenacious Nexus
at http://www.t-nexus.com/
if you want to be noticed about a new release of ZauLINK.
- ZauLINK supports ZAU-formatted file only.
Any other file format will require external filter programs.
If you would program an external filter,
refer the specifications(Sorry, Japanese only).
- You can free download ActivePerl(Perl for Win32) at ActiveState.
If you do not agree to the terms of this LICENSE AGREEMENT, do not install
or use ZauLINK for Win32. Please do NOT order a registration key, if you do
not agree to this license agreement.
- This software is a Mailware. You must email to the developer if you would
use this software continuously.
- The use of this software is done at your own risk. The developer accepts
no liability for any damages, either as direct or indirect consequence of the
use of this software.
- The developer accepts no liability to fix the functional or performance
problems.
- This software is implemented only a function the developer needs.
The request from users may not accept.
- You may redistribute the copy of this software without permission.
- You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble this software.
- The developer does not explain the usage of this software to its users.
